  • MA DPU siting and permitting webinar: The Department of Public Utilities (DPU) invites you to join a Siting & Permitting 101: Large Clean Energy Infrastructure Projects webinar on September 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. This virtual webinar is intended for municipal officials, regional planning agencies and community-based organizations interested in learning about the Energy Facilities Siting Board’s (EFSB) new consolidated permit process for large clean energy infrastructure projects.   • ME community choice aggregation series: With the passage of LD2112, Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) has come to Maine! Now, Maine municipalities, individually or together, can buy electricity on behalf of their residential and small commercial electricity customers. The Maine Community Power Alliance is hosting a 3-part online webinar series with Paul Fenn (Local Power LLC) to educate everyone about the power of CCAs: Tuesdays Sept 15th, 22nd, and 29th all 12-1pm ET.   • Energy Utility Basics Course: October 5-9, 2026. Energy Utility Basics is an intensive course on the fundamental concepts critical to being conversant in today’s energy industry. Course content is updated yearly as technology, regulation and markets evolve. Participants will receive an overview of the history of the electric and natural gas industries, insights into regulatory decision-making, analysis of the current issues facing the energy industry, and more. Attendees will obtain practical knowledge of the operations and technology of the electricity and natural gas industries from extraction, whether from the ground or from renewables, to the customer’s bill.
