The MA Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is hosting technical sessions and public hearings on several open dockets. Listed below are some proceedings that might be of interest. - Climate Compliance Plans (CCP) Public Hearings (DPU 25-40 through 25-45) – June 4 (2:00 – 3:00 pm) | June 5 (7:00 – 8:00 pm)
The Department requires the state’s gas local distribution companies to submit CCPs every five years to help achieve the state’s Target 2050 Climate Goals, starting this year.
- Energy Burden TDR Model Technical Session (DPU 24-15) – June 10 (10:00 – 5:00 pm)
The DPU’s Energy Burden docket focuses on energy affordability for ratepayers here in Massachusetts and is a top priority for the DPU to help ease the impact of the rising costs associated with the transition to clean energy. The technical session will examine the proposed model of three different discount rates for six income-based tiers for low-income electric customers.
- Eversource Seasonal Heat Pump Rate Public Hearing (DPU 25-55) – June 12 (6:00 – 7:00 pm)
The Department is conducting a virtual public hearing to receive comments on Eversource’s proposed residential seasonal heat-pump rate for eligible customers for the 2025-2026 winter heating season.
