Coming out of recent legislation, utilities in MA need to submit Electric Sector Modernization Plans (ESMPs) to the state by early next year. The GMAC is the body that is working on these plans with the utilities, and will ultimately be approving the plans.
Members of the public are invited to comment on any topic of interest related to the GMAC and ESMPs via written comments at any time, or at one of the two listening sessions.
There will be two listening sessions:
- GMAC Public Listening Session #1: October 30, 2023, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

If you have a comment you wish to make on behalf of yourself or your organization, please message MA-GMAC@mass.gov at least 24 hours in advance of the listening session you wish to comment during with your name and affiliation. Speakers will be asked to identify themselves by name and affiliation and will have up to 3 minutes to comment. After all registered speakers have had the opportunity to comment, we will operate on a first-come first-served basis at the listening sessions, through using the “raise hand” function on Zoom. Members of the public may also send written comments at any time to MA-GMAC@mass.gov. All written comments will be posted on the GMAC website.
